Peter Taylor, Director & Chartered Financial Planner
Peter trained as an Accountant in Penrith before stepping into Financial Services in 1992, where he found his tax training particularly useful.
Peter recognised his primary interest lay in portfolio management taking the CII’s Investment Portfolio Management exam as a part of his Advanced Financial Planning Certificate. He then achieved Certified Financial Planner status with the Institute of Financial Planning and Chartered Wealth Manager with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. This culminated in Chartered Financial Planner Status.
After learning his craft as an employee of a large Chartered Accountants Advice arm, and then a Discretionary Fund Manager firm, Peter felt driven to take the next step: to develop a financial advice firm where regular client review was at the core, and an ethos of ongoing staff development through Professional examinations with not only advising, but also administrative staff being fully qualified. This he did in 2004 when Professional Financial Centre was first formed.
Outside of work Peter enjoys skiing, fell-walking, mountain biking, wing foiling and great specialty coffee, which clients get to experience in the office.
