Job Title: Paraplanner
Salary: Starting from £31,000 (rising subject to experience and qualifications)
Location: Penrith, Cumbria
A fantastic opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic Paraplanner to join a highly reputable business founded over 20 years ago.
Professional Financial Centre Cumbria Ltd is a local Chartered Financial Planning firm based in Penrith. Working directly with clients, and in conjunction with local solicitors and accountants, we provide holistic financial planning and look to develop a strategy tailored to our clients’ individual needs. We specialise in advising clients wishing to adopt a sustainable / ethical approach to investing, with over 25% of the funds we manage being invested in “ESG” strategies.
We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion to develop their career within financial services. Your role will be vital to PFC as you will help to support our clients needs throughout their relationship with us and assist our Financial Planners in preparing for client meetings, undertaking product research, creating financial reports and processing new business.

The Day to Day Role:
- Working alongside the Financial Planners to arrange and prepare for client meetings
- Using a variety of investment platforms and IT systems to process new business and administer the client review process
- Ensuring accuracy of client records, data entry and calculations.
- Taking ownership of tasks to be completed within specified timescales
The Required Skills:
- Experience of Paraplanning within an IFA or Wealth Management environment.
- Familiarity with major research systems such as Intelligent Office, FE Analytics etc would be advantageous.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills with ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to communicate professionally and clearly whilst maintaining and developing professional relationships.
- Displays relevant knowledge of relevant regulation and legislation.
